Reining Horse Sports Foundation
Rookie Day Arizona Scheduled for April 1
The first 2006 Reining Horse Sports Foundation (RHSF) Rookie Day presented by Classic Equine is scheduled for April 1st at American West Quarter Horses in Scottsdale, Arizona. Anyone who has attended a Rookie Day will attest that it is a wonderful experience. Not only is a great way to learn more, but it is for an extraordinary cause.
The original RHSF Rookie Day took place in Ardmore, Oklahoma, in 2002. The brainchild of Tracy Lynch, it was created to fund another Lynch project, the RHSF Crisis Fund. The Crisis Fund was created to Assist NRHA members who have experienced sudden and demonstrable hardship, disaster of a severe and unexpected nature, or from a serious physical illness. This is done in the spirit of reiners helping reiners.
In 2005, the program grew from once-a-year to include two additional venues – Rookie Day By The Bay, Woodside, California, and Rookie Day UK, East Sussex, United Kingdom. Already scheduled for 2006 are Rookie Days in Woodside, California (June 11), and Ardmore, Oklahoma (July 15). The Desert Reining Horse Association has plans for a Rookie Day in Arizona sometime in October as well; date is yet to be determined.
Rookie Day Arizona will be a wonderful opportunity for entry-level riders to learn and benefit from many of NRHA’s top professionals including Randy Paul, Andrea Fappani, Brent Naylor, Al Kuenzli, March Ver Meer, Crystal McNutt Brock, Tracy Brumley and Thiago Sobral. To make a reservation for the Arizona Rookie Day contact Tina Kuenzli at 480-678-5544. The cost is $175.00 per attendee, payable to RHSF Rookie Day.
To schedule a Rookie Day contact RHSF Board Member Tracy Lynch at 580-277-9006 or lynchranch@sbcglobal.net.
The Reining Horse Sports Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and enhancing the sport of Reining worldwide.
