BREAKING NEWS: Gunner – NRHA’s Most Recent Million Dollar Sire
In 2007, Gunner, owned by McQuay Stables, came of age as a breeding horse. His offspring passed the million-dollar-earnings mark, a huge accomplishment considering Gunner’s long show career resulted in smaller foal crops and only 145 offspring licensed with NRHA. Congratulations Gunner!
One More Chance to Vote
For those of you that missed the absentee ballot deadline and will be attending the All American Quarter Horse Congress, Columbus, Ohio, you can cast your vote at the NRHA Fall Meeting, which will be held at the Transportation Building (A.K.A. Corral) this Thursday, October 11, 2007, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EST.
While you’re attending the Congress, be sure and stop by the NRHA booth. KYK, the Official NRHA Outfitters, will have lots of NRHA logo merchandise available for purchase.
Membership and the NRHA Reiner
Did you know that NRHA members will again receive the NRHA Reiner with their membership (one per address)? Here’s the breakdown of who gets what:
US NRHA Reiner (printed version)
Youth NRHA Reiner (electronic version)
International NRHA Reiner (electronic version)
Canadian NRHA Reiner (electronic version)
Of course, if US members want to upgrade their postage for the NRHA Reiner to first class, that option is available for $55.00, to cover postage. For International members, the printed version of the NRHA Reiner is $85.00 for postage. Youth members can subscribe to the printed Reiner at the respective cost per country of residence. In order to receive the Electronic Reiner, please make sure your most recent email address is on file with NRHA.
2008 NRHA Handbook
NRHA is implementing a new process for disbursement of the NRHA Handbook. When you receive your NRHA membership card, you’ll find an accompanying postcard. If you want an NRHA Handbook, just fill the self-addressed postcard out and return it to the NRHA or call the Membership Services Group at 405-946-7400. Until your Handbook arrives or if you lose/forget your Handbook, it is as close as the nearest computer. You will be able to access the entire 2008 Handbook at the NRHA website. Currently, you can check the website for the 2007 Handbook.
2007 NRHA Futurity Box Seats
The deadline for 2007 Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show Box Seat renewals will be here before you know it, so if you are a box seat holder mark your calendar - orders are due in the NRHA Office by November 1, 2007. If you have not renewed your box seats for the 2007 Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show by that date you stand to lose your location – those box seats not sold by November 1 will be put up for sale on a first come, first serve basis. Time is Running Out
