Reiner News Flash

Week of November 5

Welcome to this week’s edition of the Reiner News Flash.  If you have some breaking news, send your submission to ctrimmer@nrha.com.  Watch the NRHA Reiner, www.nrha.com, and eNRHAnewsletter for more details and coverage of these and other topics.

2007 WRM Competitors Need Your Help
The 2007 FEI World Reining Masters competition will take place November 29, 2007, at State Fair Park Arena in Oklahoma City, OK.  Many of the riders don’t bring their own mounts for the competition for a variety of reasons.  Some are still searching for horses.  If you have a suitable reining horse that you’d feel privileged to have one of the best reiners in the world use for this competition, please contact Sr Director of Alliances, International Development and Equine Sales Debbie Drinko – 405-946-7400, extension 119.

NRHA CORPORATE PARTNER CLASSIC EQUINE
Classic Equine will once again hold a raffle for a chance at winning a 16” Martin Saddlery ¾ tooled, chestnut-colored saddle during the NRHA Futurity & Adequan® North American Affiliate Championship Show.  The proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Reining Horse Sports Foundation Crisis Fund.  Classic Equine also sponsors RHSF Rookie Days held throughout the year.  Tickets for the saddle raffle are $10 and may be purchased at the Classic Equine trade-show booth.

Smartest Chic Olena 4-Wheeler Raffle
The Reining Horse Sports Foundation will benefit from something new at the Futurity.  BiTerra Quarter Horses, home of Smartest Chic Olena, is donating a 4-wheeler to be raffled at the NRHA Futurity.  All the details are still being finalized, so look for more details in the next News Flash.

NRHA Reiner
The November NRHA Reiner is receiving rave reviews on the new design and what appears to be improved delivery.  If you’d like to express your opinion you can contact Executive Editor    at kswan317@aol.com or kswan@nrha.com, or Sr. Director of Publications Carol Trimmer at ctrimmer@nrha.com.

AFFILIATE DEADLINES
NAA and IAP applications for international affiliates are due by November 15.
All affiliate renewals are due by December 1. Affiliates may turn in what information they have and send updates later.

IMPORTANT: New Fire Safety Codes at Fair Park!
With the brand new renovations to the barns at the Oklahoma State Fair Park come very important fire safety codes from the Oklahoma State Fire Marshall.  These new rules are in place for our horses’ safety as well as our own safety in the event of a fire.  Please click here to view these new fire safety codes in PDF form BEFORE you come to the Futurity.
First-Ever NRHA Mexico Championship Hailed a Success!
It’s an historic milestone for Reining in Mexico.  For the very first time, the NRHA held the Mexico Championships, October 20 – 21 in Monterrey, Mexico.
