2007 NRHA Derby Nomination Late Fees Dropped
Oklahoma City, OK April 3, 2007 A major announcement from the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) involving the 2007 NRHA Derby. The NRHA Board of Directors has decided to eliminate all nomination late fees for the 2007 NRHA Derby. The Board voted to drop these late fees at its meeting on Sunday, April 1 in Oklahoma City.
NRHA Executive Director Dan Wall says, The Derby is a prestigious event for four, five and six year old horses and the Board did not want any exhibitors to skip the Derby this year because they might face the late fees of $250 or more. We also thought the construction at the State Fair arena was going to be more of a problem than what it really is. Only Barns 1 and 2 are affected, but there is still plenty of room to ride and plenty of stalls. Hopefully with the lack of construction issues and the elimination of nomination late fees, this will encourage more reiners to make their plans to head to Oklahoma City this May.
The NRHA Derby is set for May 14-19 at the Oklahoma State Fair Park. For further Derby entry information and stall reservations, please contact Susie Trimmer at 405-946-7400 or strimmer@nrha.com.
