Kimberly Crupper Wins the North American Freestyle Non Pro Championship presented by Century Investment Group

Oklahoma City, OK - December 1, 2006 - Fresh off her win at the prestigious All American Quarter Horse Congress, Kimberly Crupper wowed the crowd with her Mustang Sally routine in the $2,500 added North American Championship Freestyle Non Pro class presented by the Century Investment Group. With mini-skirt and go-go boots, Kimberly scored a 218.5 on her big-stopping, fast-turning partner, Quick Enterprise owned by Allen Crupper, Paris, KY. Chad Hartmann was second with a score of 217.5 on Flashy With Chrome owned by Chad and Shelly Hartmann, Arvada, CO.

The $7,500 added North American Freestyle Open Championship presented by Century Investment Group is slated for tonight, Friday evening 8:00 pm at Oklahoma State Fair Park, Oklahoma City, home of the 2006 NRHA Futurity & North American Affiliate Championship (NAAC) Show.

The $1,000 added NRHA Novice Horse Non Pro class was held in conjunction with the NAAC Novice Horse Non Pro. Allison Serio and Debi Murnan were Co-Champions in the NRHA class. Debi, representing the West Coast Reining Horse Association, won the NAAC Division. Allison, from Kennett Square, PA, rode her DA Sanjos Steady and Debi rode her Arapaho Sailor.

James Curtis Myers and Jordan Donnelly tied for second place in the NAAC Novice Horse Non Pro Division. James is from Kasson, MN, and represented the North Central Reining Horse Association. He rode his own Jacs Good Bar; Jordan is from Aubrey, TX, and represented the Southwest Reining Horse Association (SWRHA). She rode her own Hollywood All Star.

There was also a double winner in the NRHA Youth 13 & Under class, which was held in conjunction with the NAAC Youth 13 & Under class. Jordan Donnelly, representing the SWRHA, and her Hollywood All Star won both divisions with a score of 215. Stephanie Belcher is from Carbondale, CO, and she earned second place in the NAAC Youth 13 & Under Division for the Western Slope Reining Horse Association on her Boot Jac Budha. Emily Winegar, Aubrey, TX, was second in the NRHA Youth 13 & Under on Good Time Show Girl owned by Green Valley Ranch.

The five top riders in the Cinch NRHA Non Pro Futurity Consolation class will advance to the Non Pro Futurity Finals scheduled to being this afternoon, Friday, December 1. Those riders are legitimate contenders and include Ron Thompson on his Chocolate Chicinic, Dr. Jim Morgan on his Smartest Sister, John Mc Carty on his Top Dun Cody Rose, Ginger Schmersal riding Luz Del Conquistador owned by B S Syndicate and Samantha Griffin riding EBR Fire N Ice for her dad, Lance.

The Clinton Anderson Downunder Horsemanship Clinic, presented by Horse & Rider magazine, NRHA’s Educational Partner is scheduled for 10:00 am tomorrow, December 2 as is the Futurity Prospect Sale – where champions are consigned and purchased! The NRHA Intermediate and Open Futurity finals start in the afternoon and continue through the evening. The total purse exceeds $990,000 and the winner of the Open Division is guaranteed a take-home paycheck of $125,000!
