David Patterson assumes position of Director of Marketing & Communications with the NRHA.
Oklahoma City, OK-The National Reining Horse Association announces the addition of David Patterson as Director of Marketing and Communications. David comes to the NRHA from the Oklahoma RedHawks, the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club.
David comes to the NRHA with just over 25 years of advertising, marketing and communications experience. He previously filled a variety of marketing and advertising roles with several national and regional restaurant chains including Pizza Hut, Hardee’s, Rax Restaurants, Friendly’s Restaurants, Sonic Drive-Ins and Taco Mayo. At Taco Mayo, a regional chain based in Oklahoma City, David served as the Director of Marketing, overseeing all media buying, broadcast, creative and production and field marketing.
David began a sports marketing career when he joined Sooner Sports Properties in Norman, Oklahoma, Sooner Sports Properties is the rights holder to the advertising and sponsorships for the University of Oklahoma Athletic Department. As an account executive with Sooner Sports, David marketed the statewide radio and television broadcasts, souvenir program advertising and sponsorships. He also coordinated the production of the Sooner Souvenir Program and the radio broadcasts for women’s basketball, softball and baseball.
Staying in sports marketing, as the Director of Corporate Partnerships with the Oklahoma RedHawks, David sold ballpark signage, sponsorships, radio broadcasts, group-events and directed the marketing plans for the ball club.
David will use his talents and experience overseeing NRHA sponsorships, memberships and communications for the NRHA on the local, national and international scene.
