Reining Featured in Visual Exhibit for 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games
Reining competition at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games is featured in a new display in the Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, KY. The display is designed to highlight the equine disciplines that will be a part of the 2010 Games. The exhibit highlights four of the eight disciplines in the Games. Reining is the only western discipline.
Matt Mills is featured in one section of the display. He was a member of the Gold medal winning Team USA at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany. The picture shows Mills and Easy Otie Whiz, owned by David and Bobbie Cook, in a sliding stop.
Organizers of the exhibit hope it will bring significant attention to the 2010 games. Jack Kelly, CEO of the World Games 2010 Foundation, Inc. said, “These spectacular images are a great way to build and reinforce excitement in our community about what they’ll see here in 2010.”
The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games will be held September 25-October 10, 2010, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. The event, which is held every four years, will host the crowning of world champions of the eight equestrian disciplines recognized by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). The Games have never been held outside Europe. More than 600,000 spectators are expected to attend the 16-day competition.
