The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) announced that the World Equestrian Games (WEG) will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park in 2010. This is the first time the WEG will be held outside of Europe. For more details and other NRHA news go to the Press Release section of www.nrha.com.



NRHA Sire & Dam Program
Congratulations to the winners of the 2005 NRHA Futurity Sire & Dam Awards. The 2005 Sire Award Purse totaled $100,146.87!!! The complete list of winners can be found on the Sire & Dam link of our website www.nrha.com.

NRHA Intercollegiate Judging Contest
Twenty teams and 93 students from around the nation competed at the 2005 NRHA Intercollegiate Judging Contest. Taking top honors was West Texas A&M University, Cal Poly came in second followed by Texas A&M University in third place. The University of Wisconsin – River Falls was fourth and Oklahoma State University rounded out the top five teams. Check out the February issue of the NRHA Reiner for complete contest results.

NRHA Sales
The NRHA horse sales once again set records with the high selling horse, Sweel Lil Starlight, bringing a record breaking $167,000! The outstanding two-year-old son of Grays Starlight was consigned to the Futurity Prospect Sale by Dick Randall, Cupertino, California, and purchased by Judy Caton of Snohomish, Washington. Another record was broken when a two-year-old daughter of Starlights Wrangler commanded the highest price a mare has ever brought at an NRHA sale…a whopping $143,000! The pretty bay filly, Dun It In The Bay, was consigned by David Silva, Tolland, Connecticut, and purchased by Manntana LLC of Las Vegas, Nevada. Pard’s takes the Reins as NRHA’s New Saddle Provider
